S D / I serves on the board of directors of several international organizations that works with developing countries in South East Asia.

 

Europe

SD/I has reached an agreement with Euro-Phoenix Limited, of Budapest, Hungary to provide program managment and technical assistance for the Sustainable Energy Finance Facility Framework in the Slovenska Republika (Slovakia Republic).  See the Slovakia Republic tab for more information.

S D / I - International Projects

Sustainable Development / International provides sustainable energy and environment consulting services in developed and developing countries around the world.

Projects:

 

Sustainable Development in Rural Villages

 
      • On behalf of the Trailblazer Foundation, S D / I prepared a successful grant proposal to the British School of Beijing, China for the construction of 3 schools in rural villages near Siem Reap, Cambodia.  S D / I will continue to provide design and construction management services for these schools.
      • S D / I supervised the installed water wells for drinking and irrigation, and construction of water filtration systems for rural villages in Cambodia. These wells were funded by a grant from the Wyoming Rotary and the International Rotary Association. 

 

Medical Information Technology

 
      • S D / I was selected by MediCorps International to design, develop and implement an internet based medical consulting system for doctors in Cambodian hospitals.  This project is in the pilot demonstration phase and S  D / I is preparing a grant proposal for system hosting by the University of Switzerland, Bazil.  Consulting doctors will be provided by the Einstien Research Institute through MediCorps International.

 

Governmental/Non-Profit

      • Consultant for the Libya National Department of Planning and Building Construction for Energy Conservation, Passive Solar and Renewable Energy Design Standards.  This project resulted in a set of 3 large format illustrated design books for sustainable residential and commercial buildings in Libya.
      • Board of Directors for the Trailblazer Foundation - Cambodian NGO – school construction, water wells and filtration, micro-loans. 
      • Board of Directors for the Medicorps Internet Relief Network (MIRN) – Cambodia 
      • Board of Directors of Village Earth. Village Earth is dedicated to promoting sustainable, community-based development around the world by providing innovative training, consultation, appropriate technology information, and project support services.
